It sounds like vagina lightening or crotch lightening.
That's actually what it's called. It's usually starts happening once the baby has moved into birthing position, around 30 ish weeks, give or take.
It's when your baby is down further towards your cervix and kicks or headbutts your cervix, hitting a sensitive nerve that runs to your vagina (don't remember the name of the nerve) that feels like lightening has struck your vagina, hence the name. Lol. The hardness and crampy tummy feeling could be because of how baby moves to get into the position to either headbutt you or kick you.
It's a strange pain, hard to describe, right? Shooting pain in your vagina?
Lovely, isn't it? Ick. Don't miss that.
I hate to say it, but it could get more intense as baby descends further down toward your cervix.

That might be it Im not really sure.. it just feels like really bad period cramps.
