really?? wow you want antibiotics for a cold? sounds like your doctor did everything right suck it up get some sleep itll be gone soon

Anytime I've been sick while pregnant, they don't give antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. And the doctors at my clinic are very good doctors. You don't need antibiotics for a cold, and colds can last for a week or more. Just drink plenty fluids and get rest. And like the doc said if it gets worse, go back in. Hope you feel better soon!

sounds like post nasal drip to me. Op take a Benadryl that's what I took throw all 3 of the head colds I had and it really dried me up and let me sleep

Colds always kicked my ass more when I was pregnant.
If it's viral, which it seems like, there's nothing you can do but wait

I had a pretty serious cold of some sort and it took me having an asthma attack and a visit to the hospital before they found it necessary to do anything. I have a strong history of getting strep and they initially tested me for it only because I have had it so many times but it was negative. They only gave me Zpak for some upper respiratory infection then a sinus infection, but that was only after the hospital visit. They told me they thought I had some sort of cold/virus and there wasn't anything antibiotics could do about that. All of the doctors except for at the hospital and afterward had me wait it out, so it seems very normal that they wouldn't do much for you. Sorry you feel so crummy though!
