I asked the district when I called to to ask about registration. There is no testing before kindergarten. Maybe it's done when they start school? Like as a classroom activity? But they don't do anything before that

Here, I guess the testing is just to give the teachers and idea, beforehand, of what the kids really need more focus on- as well as possible placement changes in classrooms. Like if there is a large group of kids with difficulties in a certain area they might be paired together in a classroom so that the teacher can really hone in on that subject area.

Makes sense to me. I don't know why they don't test.
