Quoting Olivia Foxworth:" if she really wanted them? My kids needed new shoes, My 3 year old DD does not like girly things and ... [snip!] ... if you don't buy your kids character shoes would you buy your DD "boy shoes" from the boy section if she really wanted them?)"
of course!  , my daughter is 2 and is a tomboy she loves dirt, bugs, climbing and cars, we buy her toy cars cus she loves them, I feel like it would stiffle her creativity and independence by telling her no just cus she is a girl, I say go for it.   and I hope she loves them.

Sure would. Only sweater she would even try on this winter when it got cold was a Curious George one in the boy's department at Target, so that's what she got! She's got all kinds of "boy" toys & stuff too, it's just about equal with her toys as far as gender specific goes.

I don't have a DD nor do I but character shoes, BUT I do buy my shoes in the bits section lol. I can fit in a size five in little kids an boy shoes are mainly black/white/grey which is what I like.

Course I would   we recently took DD to get some new trainers, she ended up picking some Doc marten style (not official ones) boots from the 'boys section'. Totally fine by me, they'll probably last longer than the flimsy, glittery crap that usually passes for a 'girls' shoe! I'd do the same for DS if he wanted 'girly' shoes too! I'm all for helping my kids find their true selves, not molding them to societies idea of how boys and girls should be!x
