39 weeks & 2 days pregnant, this is my first pregnancy.
Just went to get checked out today because I've been having bad lower back pain, and the baby wasn't moving. But everything is fine. Just a little upset about 1 thing. I'm still only 1CM dilated /: and my doctor says I might go over my due date. Does anybody have anything that will get things moving? So I can dilate more. I heard walking, sex, and yoga exercises.. have tried all besides sex. I'm not comfortable with doing that seeing how his head is right down there. Lol. So can someone give me some simple ways to get me more dilated? Don't wanna go past his due date!!

Its very common for FTM to go past their due date. If baby isnt ready nothing will work. Sex isn't going to hurt the baby they are a lot further up than you think. Just stay active as it will help your body progress once is ready.

Okay thank you! Just getting really anxious I guess.. had an ultrasound on Tuesday.. a 4D one. It got me all worked up and can't get my mind off of it.

You can safely go to 42 weeks before the risks of staying pregnant are higher than the risks of induction. If you mentally prepare to go to 42 weeks then it might make it easier. Some women dont dilate at all until they are in labor either.

Is it possible for my water to break even though I am only 1CM dilated?

Other than walking and sex, nothing really works, and even those dont work unless your body is ready. Sorry hun, you just gotta wait it out. Also, some women never dialate at all untill they are in labor, so dont get to discouraged. You can still go before your due date. Oh and whatever you do, do not drink castor oil! All it will do is give you the runs, and it could seriously hurt your baby. Good luck, and I hope you go soon!

You can progress from a one really quickly or really slowly it just depends on the person but did they say how thinned out you are ?

Yes but most womens water doesn't break spontaneously either. Usually the doctor does it when you are in labor.

Well, that kind of makes things better to know that my water could break without being dilated... Also I have another question.. Which due date should I go by??? The ultrasound one or the one my doctor says? I have 2 due dates.. so not sure. Ultrasound one is March 6th, Doctors one is March 8th. Only 2 days off.. but just curious!

The one your doctor does. They usually dont change a due date just because its 2 days off. It usually has to be 2 or more weeks and in the first trimester. Due dates are just estimates and can be off by two weeks anyway.

raspberry root tea, papaya juice (pure) its gross lol, primrose oil, and I no you said no to sex but it is beneficial big time, the semen thins your cervix, me and my hubby had sex 1 to 2 days before my water broke in the bed lol. other than that I'm sure there are some websites for natural ways to do it. good luck hun.

Try getting someone to take you on a long car ride. I guess it may be just all the moving and bumps in the road that do it. But I know with my last one. I was dialated to 1cm and was 75% Effaced on a monday and went on a long car ride 2 days later then the next morning My water broke. !!!!!!
