Can my headaches cause this? *poll*

posted 1st Mar
I've had the most horrible headaches for the past couple months. They've been getting worse and worse since I had my daughter 8 months ago.

1. Can they cause head sensitivity? My head hurts to the touch a lot of the time. Even to move my hair causes me lots of pain. It hurts the most on the top towards the back of my head - there's one or two golf ball sized areas that hurt so badly. It comes and goes, but has been pretty constant the past week or so. My entire head is sensitive though.

2. Can headaches cause me to see things? I'm not seeing people or anything..I can't explain it. I see a moving something in the corner of my eye. I turn to see what's there and of course it's nothing.

3. Can headaches cause my eyelids to have spasms? It's just my left one that I feel doing it. My eye stays open while it happens, but I can just feel it going crazy for about 5 seconds. This happens anywhere from 5 to 25 times a day the past week and a half.

It could be the reverse... That something else is actually causing your headaches and not the other way around. When was the last time you had your eyes checked?

I've never been to the doctor for them. The doctors here suck. I've brought my headaches up before and he goes, "well that isn't any fun." and that's always the end.

Is there a significant difference between the two? My mom always suffered migraines but I don't know the difference.

wtf smh.....they suck here too I have been to neurologists, ENT, my PCP & I have had MRI's and CT scans done on my head & they don't know what is the issue. I get badddd pain in my ears at random, I get pressure in the back of my head & my hands tingle randomly sometimes too. My mom said it could be carpal tunnel like she had, soo I think I am going to see a diff neurologist for it.

The specialists around here aren't terrible but I have to drive an hour each way to get there. I have random ear pain too, but it never lasts more than a few hours at a time and only happens a couple times a month. I'm actually seeing a orthopedic doctor on Monday for my first time because I have the worst joint pain ever. My knees have cracked for 20 years pain-free and now all of a sudden the past couple months my knees, wrists, elbows, ankles, and fingers crack and hurt like hell.

You should get your eyes checked. Maybe you have swollen optic nerves that are causing the visual problems. I have a rare condition that has all those symptoms that you mention...its called Intracranial Hypertension. A lot of doctors misdiagnose it for regular migraines.

Yes. Migraines are much much worse. Usually result in vertigo, queasiness, vomiting, passing out, light/sound sensitivity and can be excruciating whereas a headache is typically just a slight inconvenience but is manageable and doesn't hinder you much at all.

I had similar symptoms and was caused by stress. The eye twitch/spasm went away around the same time the headaches stopped and the seeing things, ect. I didnt think I was stressed at all but it can manifest in different ways. Depression also can cause those symptoms

Yepp girl we are in the same position lol. Crazy, my joints hurt too lately but that is because of my disorder, it causes me to have joint problems.
