First cycle of Clomid and I'm two days late

UGH! Still testing negative. I figured Clomid would make me ovulate earlier, not later, but I guess I didn't ovulate at all. If I did surely my period would have come by now or I'd be pregnant. We've baby danced so much the past two months, hoping Clomid was our answer. I know I'm not out until my period starts, but I was so sure this month that we'd test positive. Now all the blues of TTC for so long sweep down. The miscarriage that occurred the furthest along will have been a year ago tomorrow, and it sucks :/

I'm sorry.   I never ovulated on Clomid myself due to PCOS. I did Femara this cycle and produced a beautiful follicle! I'm currently 3 dpiui. Hope you're late for a good reason sweetie! **HUGS**

Clomid is known to make people women ovulate later into their cycle. Do you know what CD you're on? Good luck!

I'm on cycle day 52. Usually have 50 day cycle, ovulating around day 36.

Also very sorry for your losses. I couldnt imagine going through that more then I have already. I had a miscarriage at 25 weeks and lost my daughter. So devastating. I couldnt imagine doing that more then once. =[

I also noticed clomid made me ovulate a week after the last pill. I took 50mg from cycle days 5-9. It did work for me, and I had no pregnancy symptoms except slightly sore nipples and tired here and there. I didnt think I was pregnant, Though I released 2 eggs so my symptoms were probably increased.

I used a fertility lube called conceive plus, just because i wasnt sure my body was making good quality egg white cervical mucus. Cant hurt.

I also heard that clomid taken earlier (anytime from cd 1-4) helps make more eggs, and clomid taken later (5-9) helps mature eggs better.

I have pcos symptoms and wasnt ovulating at all. But remember that you might have to up your dose and or stick with it for a few months, Some sites say that most women get pregnant by the 3rd or 4th cycle of clomid.

Also your cycles could be so long apart that your uterine lining may be too weak, my dr also told me that because I used to get periods like every 2 months.

Maybe have your dr start you on prometrium? I took it for 14 days on, and then 14 days off, etc to mimic the cycle, on the second month Is when I used clomid and it worked. after ttc for 4 years.

I just found out I have PCOS also. I normally have a 32 day cycle and ovulate on my own at least i think I do. I'm going to see the infertility specialist where I see the doctor. I'm waiting for an appointment. I don't know much about Clomid but I've heard it works good for some women and not for others. Should I consider taking it if I do ovulate on my own sometimes?

I dont think it would bother much if you were ovulating, it helps mature eggs and etc.

Ok thanks. That's the only thing I'm scared of and that's producing multiples because I read with Clomid there is a chance of that. I just hope it works for me. I'd just like to regulate my cycles and make sure my eggs are of a good quality. I've also started taking fish oil pills. They say the omega 3 helps mature the eggs and get the ovaries to act right and supply more blood to the uterus to prepare for implantation.

Well i have 4 sets of twins on my moms side and im a fraternal twin myself lol but just be prepared.

In our family twins skip a generation. Well luckily for me I'm in the generation that is likely to have twins lol. So hoping that if they do put me on Clomid or something that it doesn't result in twins because 1 I only have a girl's name picked out and 2 we only want 1 more child. But if I get preggo with twins we'll deal with it. I'll love them just as much. But hoping for a single. Right now a BFP will do just fine.

I can imagine. I'd be too. My cycle is messing up again. I don't think we'll ever get this right. I'm thinking about starting my metformin but I kinda wanted to wait until I saw the specialist to see what she suggests. My right side is twinging again like i'd be ovulating. Took an opk and it was positive or very close to positive. I wish my darn body would work right. I'm feeling like a failure. I'm scared that even meeting with the specialist won't help me and we'll never get pregnant again.

Metformin didn't do much for me, i was on it for 6 months. Only had on period. I was put on prometrium 14 days on 14 days off, to cycle a normal period, helped alot and kept y lining healthy. I was on it for 4 months before ttc.

The only reason I'm getting on metformin if I decide to take it is to help me lose some weight. That's it. I have mostly normal cycles. I have a period every month. It's just my ovulation varies so much. It's never around the same time each month. I feel like AF is coming because I'm getting pressure in my uterine area which I get before it comes. I hope its not another wacky cycle where it'll be like 11 days late like I did a few months ago. It wasn't until October that I started ovulating normally and my periods coming on time. It seems like I'll get 3 or 4 normal months and then a wacky one. So I will see if Af comes on time or not. I'm giving it until the 10th to show up. If not by then I'll know it's a wacky period.
