nipple piercing and BFing

My SIL is pregnant and has her nipples pierced and wanted to know if she can still BFed without drowning her LO lol and she has to take them out because LO could choked on them right? and so basically she will just have to get them repierced when shes done BFing if she wants them again because they will close up right?
im asking for her cuz i have no clue about nipple piercings.

You can still nurse. I had very little milk come out through the actual piercing hole so no worries on the whole drowning thing. Depending on how long she has had them, she probably wont have to get them re peirced. I would just put the hardware through the hole twice a week to make sure it was still open. Def. nursing without the jewelery to avoid the choking risks.

My best friend took hers out right before she gave birth and hers grew up in like a day. I took mine out just because I got tire of them and they grew up really quick too. We were told by our piercer that we could breastfeed with them and if we didn't want to take them out we could use the hoops. The ballsshouldn't come off. I would take them out to breastfeed but that's just me.

thank you   she got them done like 2 yrs ago. she will be happy to know she wont have to re pierce them
