Glucose testing next week

Hi ladies!!! I wanted to ask about the glucose testing that you have an option of taking and what your experiences were with it. Ive had a healthy pregnancy...I have a healthy weight...(Im 26 weeks and Im 121 pounds...only gained 11 13 pounds so far..) Anywho...I go for glucose testing next week. The thing is, although Im not a vegan, I rarely eat anything processed because I have a food intolerance to corn protiens. I know that many "sugars" are derivitives of certain types of corn protiens so Im concerned that I may have a bad reaction from the testing. I even have a friend who took the test and miscarried shortly after .....after having a seemingly healthy pregnancy...SO Im a little nervous about drinking thta stuff. Anyone care to share thier experience with this?

Havent spoke to her about it just yet. Its the test to see how your body processes glucose....basically to test to make sure you dont have gestational diabetes. Im just concerned with the sugar solution you have to drink...:-( I will speak with her about it though

I think she meant she never has heard of an allergy from it.
I don't think many people will have that answer for you, it seems kind of specific like you need to ask your dr.

I have my test on the 19th, and they gave me my drink already. I checked the ingredients and the source for the sugars in mine is corn. Definitely ask your doctor if there's an alternative you can use instead.

Thanks purple Bama!! I will definitely talk to my doctor..My test is on Wed so I will call her (my doc) tommorow and speak to her about it. If it is corn based, I will most definitely have a reaction to it..and I really dont want to end up in the ER....
