is 4000iu of vitamin a in prenatals too much?

i've been taking over the counter prenatals for 2 days now & they contain 4000iu of vitamin a. i have read that a lot of vitamin a can be dangerous to the baby.. is that too much? i'm only taking these vitamins until i can go to the doctor on monday & get prescribed some. thanks for your time. <3

just no high amount of vitamin c. i think my prenatals are the same dose just take once a day and get some folic acid in there.

It can be dangerous but I think it depends on the form of vit a. There's 2, retinal, and carotene. My vitamins are over the counter natural vitamins made of veggies and herbs and the vit a amount is 5,000iu but it says 100% as beta carotene.

And I have to take mine 3 times a day, but I think that's the total for the 3 pills. .
