My cat

Got really sick today so I had to take her to the Vet. She was projectile vomiting (four feet) and they were thinking she had a blockage. Lucky cat didn't have one but she is such a stupid cat. She eats EVERYTHING. She will seriously rip up the carpet so she can eat it and I told my vet this and he was laughing his ass off. I am like yep.. Good times.   My cat is special. She also likes to hunt down my child's shoes and eat them too. (the foam ones I got him anyways.. those are trash now)

Any ideas on what to do to keep her from doing this? She has been doing it for years and she won't stop. I have exhausted internet options and advice from everyone options and it is getting to that point I am seriously afraid that it may cost her her life if she keeps this up.

I wish I had some advice, but my cat does this too! She's only a kitten still though, just about a year old now. But she eats twist ties if she finds them, carpet, she ate a whole ribbon from Christmas gift wrap, drives me insane!

Find a different vet!!! And talk with them about it sounds like the vet you used did not think you where telling him the truth!!!

Yep. I had marshmallows sitting on a countertop and came home to them all over the floor. I guess she wanted sugar. She eats the plastic bags, flowers, carpet, blankets, stuffed animals, shoe strings, hair, candy, potatoes(raw potatoes man), cheetos, hot cheetos, just seriously anything she can nom on.

Oh no. He knows I was. I have been with him for years. He just knows that cats do the damndest things and I have a track record of getting cats like that. The last one I had was psychotic and hated everyone that was not me. I miss her.

I forgot about plastic bags! We have to make sure that they are all secured in a cupboard so that she can't get to them! And we had to get rid of all of our plants in the house because she kept eating them and then puking them up.
