Quoting KNZ.:" i don't know how many i've had an hour, but they've been coming frequently since last night. The BH don't really concern me as much as the period-like cramping + back pain "
I would call then. Period cramping that is frequent isnt fun.

Drink ALOT of water and relax. I had that with my second and on and off with this baby and with my second it was preterrm labor this time its just from lack of hydration at times. My midwife told me if i could time them ad they werent going away and getting worse and they are being consistant to call her right away, but i would say call if its been this long i always do when its lasted a long period of time jsut to make sure.

I would say maybe they are just more intense Hicks. All my Braxton Hicks have been more of a very intense period cramp rather than the real labor contractions. you can always call labor and delivery or call ur Doc office and get some advise. At least u will have some peace of mind that way. good luck

It could be a uti. I had one when I was pregnant with L, and had no symptoms at all really, besides back pain and period-like cramping. Even though my dr office did the routine pee sample check at every appt, I didn't find out about the uti until I went over to L&D because they did a different kind of urine test.
good luck <3

Im 38 wks third kid also, ive been having the same symptoms, ive been to the hospital 5 times in a week, to find out ive dialated but was still not in labour, im 3cm now and 80 effaced, probably more effaced then the last time I went, but I have these pains everyday and then they leave, but nothkng can help mine, I walk, drink water or juice stand up , lay down, move positions they dont leave, and when they do leave they just leave and come back a few hours later, but if urs are that consistants I would call b, c u never know, my first I had 6 yrs ago was born early and he also was trying to come out at 27 weeks but they stopped it and he came at 36 instead, so now im very cautions with my last two pregnancy, this last pregancy was perfect until i hit 35 weeks andbthe aches and pains started comming on, , y second child was so easy absolutly nothing.

I was warned against gatorade by my doctor because it is high in salt which is bad for you if you do not need it, i have been drinking powerade as it is safer for you
