I need to POOP!

I had a C-Section last Friday and couldn't have a BM the whole time I was in the hospital. Which didn't surprise me at all considering I went in on Thursday to try for a VBAC, so I hadn't eaten anything since that afternoon. Not to mention the hospital food was terrible, so I didn't eat much of that in recovery. Before I left on Monday, they gave me a suppository. I had a BM and they sent me home. But I haven't pooped since Monday and tomorrow is Friday!!! Uggh! What will make me go that is GENTLE? I don't want to give myself awful diarrhea like that suppository... which was pointless anyway since it didn't help regulate me at all...

Have you tried Metamusil? I have that when I need to go. It tastes like orange juice and just softens everything, so you dont get those horrible wind pains or diarrhea.

Prune juice mixed half and half with apple juice. Girl, it is going to hurt no matter what at this point. Just start chugging and be prepared.

I took a stool softener. I think it was senocot or something like that. Had my csection Sunday night and didn't poop til Thursday night.

I've had no problems with gas which is weird! With my last section, I had horrible gas. I've been a tooting machine since then though.... just can't have a BM!

Well at least there isn't a blockage. I guess just eat an entire bag of grapes, a full cantaloupe, wash it down with some prune/apple juice and prepare live in the bathroom for a while. Lol
