Chicken n dumplings as leftovers??.

posted 28th Feb
I never made this dish before and it was excellent.
My questions is, are the leftover dumplings edible or gross? Any suggestions for making a second meal of this yummiest?

We eat them as left overs.   They are good. When they are cold from the fridge they look gross, but once heated up they are fine.

I have reheated it for days. The key is to not let the dumplings dry out. So don't leave it uncovered. I put it in tupperware and it usually lasts me two or three days in the fridge. I've never frozen it though.

Alot of people use the "soupy" part the next day to make pot-pie out of.

They are great leftovers. My mom use to make a huge batch of it and freeze left overs and we would eat them over several months.

Mmmm. I'm eager to try them later! It was DELISH tonight!
I used a Tyler Florence recipe from FoodNetwork.com after watching him make it earlier this week.
Thanks all!

I use a recipe my DH's great grandma uses. Add a couple cans of cream of chicken, never did that before Mommom told me to...

I use my mothers recipe. She uses chicken stock and cream on chicken. S &P. and that's it. Add in dumplings and let simmer. Soooo good.
