tubes tied?

  I am having my 5th baby and was wondering if it hurts to get your tubes tied.
I decieded to get them done the day after i have my baby

I haven't had it done, but I assume it can't hurt any worse than childbirth  

Yes it hurts , I had mine tied last week after having my 3rd child on 19th..I'm still hurting a week later. And buy lots of pads you will go threw them like nobody buiness..Goodluck

I don't think it hurts any more than any other surgery. I've had my gallbladder removed and it was done laparascopically. If your tubal ligation is done that way, it should go smoothly, and recovery is relatively short. You'll be able to move around much sooner. A day or two afterwards as opposed to 4 or 5.

I was in mild achy pain for no more than a week and was up and totally about within a few days. I didnt find it extremely painful at all.
