Gums between two front teeth.

Ugh.
So i have good dental health, no cavities, no past gum issues etc etc
I am pregnant so i know that can have an effect on your gum health, right?

Anyways, today i bit into an apple and the gum between my two front teeth, "pushed up" and started bleeding pretty bad.
Anyways, it stopped bleeding and i kinda forgot about it.
Looking in a mirror later i see there's dark spots on that little piece of gum along with a white looking spot.
And it's almost completely detached from my two front teeth  
What the heck.

It doesn't hurt, but is this something i need to go to my dentist for?
Do gums "grow back"  

My gums went to hell during pregnancy, major gingivitis. I got a special rinse that fixed them right up, stopped the bleeding, etc.

Did you go to the dentist for it? Or was it a OTC rinse?

I went to the dentist. It's important to take care of it, because it can turn into periodontitis which is way harder to control and causes tooth loss, etc.

I actually think I had antibiotics, too, now that I think about it, but mine was pretty bad.

During my pregnancy with Audrianna this happened except with a chip (I think) and the OB recommended I see a dentist and they gave me antibiotics and a prescribed mouth wash thing. But I can't remember what it was called.

okay i should give him a call then. is it normal for it to only be irritated in that one spot?

Same thing happened to me, seeing the replies though maybe I'll make a dentist appointment! It doesn't bother me much now but it's still sort of detached...

I had this SAME thing happen! I could not figure out why there was blood on my apple at first. My gums ended up being fine though so idk what happened

ya, I guess I just irritated it with the apple skin or something, I'm not sure. Dentist didn't find anything wrong so idk. It kinda hurt though.

hmpff, see mine doesn't hurt at all. kinda just looks like a dark piece of dead gum.
