if your first baby was early...

Was your second also? I had my 37 week appt today and because I've been spotting he said I'm starting to dilate and because my first was 2 weeks early its been predicted that I will go early this time as well because "the second one usually follows suit". But my older brother was 10 days early and I was 10 days late so just wondering how likely it really is. I know nobody knows for sure and it'll happen when it happens so I guess I'm just wondering how common it really is?

All 3 of mine have been early, all 5 of my mom's were early.

My first was 36+2 and second was 36+3.

my 1st i was induced idk if that counts,

My 2nd came at 36 weeks after sex started contractions lol

My first was 35 weeks and my second was 39+5 BUT I was also on progesterone shots with my second. My Dr. said it was likely I would have another premature birth with my second, which is why she put me on progesterone.

1st baby: 6 days early
2nd baby: 5 days late because he was stuck in the posterior position and my OB was an idiot and didn't check to see what was going on.
3rd baby: 1 day early

My first was 16 days early, my second 16 days early my third tried to come early contraction a minute apart but because I live in Alabama and wouldn't dialate past 4 cm they would not break my water. Some silly rule about not breaking water until 39 weeks....

They had to break my water all 3 times, and they did it before 39 weeks, I don't think that's a state-wide thing...I think that was your hospital's policy.

think it's nothing to do with your first baby here are mine-
1st baby 36 weeks (Passed away)
2nd baby 38 weeks and 3 days
3rd baby 41 weeks and 3 days
4th baby 39 weeks and 3 days

I had my 1st at 38weeks and my second at 41 the only thing that was similar is the time they were both born

first at 39 weeks, second at 38 weeks, third at 38 weeks, and fourth has yet to be seen but I really suspect 37 weeks, don't know why, just a gut feeling.

both my kids were born at 38 weeks and 5 days.
