What do you pack LO for lunch??

posted 28th Feb
I need some lunch ideas for my 6 year old daughter. She's an extremely picky eater (doesn't do raw veggies) and peanut butter/nuts are an obvious no no. They also don't have access to a microwave. I've been sending her with things such as veggie crackers, cheese slices (doesn't eat them half the time), cut up apple and a juice pack. That's just an example but the crackers are a staple in her lunch bag. I just feel bad she doesn't have anything new and half the stuff I can think of she refuses lol. What do you pack your LO's for lunches???

A sandwich might be a good idea.

Pasta too - like pasta salad? Or other types of salad like potato salad or macaroni salad. I'm trying to think of stuff that tastes good cold, lol.

If she likes hummus you could put hummus and cut up pita bread into squares or triangles.

I'm so unhealthy.... my son loves Nutella and fluff sandwiches...   we do that occasionally. Most of the time it's nutella and banana.

I have horrible eaters too..they don't like fruit or veggies..at least my 4 year old.
what about a sandwich? turkey, ham, salami or bolonga?
yogurt, applesauce, jello or maybe a pudding.
fruit: grapes, orange, banana, pears, pineapple, peaches, strawberries
cheese and crackers.
Raisins, pretzels, teddy grahams, goldfish, fruit pack snacks

Put washed and cut fruit in a container for her. Use whatever is on special, strawberries, grapes, watermelon. You can pack sultanas, a yoghurt, a sandwich - jam, ham, cheese, ham and cheese, ham cheese and tomato. If she won't eat the sandwich just pack the fillings, some ham in a bag.

If you go in to the health food isle on your grocery store they also hv pre packed healthy snacks. Kids crackers, muesli bars etc.
