cord stump hasnt fallen off?

My son is 3 1/2 weeks old and his cord stump still hasn't fallen off. Anyone else dealt with this? My first two kids lost theirs just fine.

I haven't had either child keep theirs extra long but I don't think its a problem as long as it isn't getting infected. Is it just hanging on by a small piece or still fully attached?
My daughter's got ripped off by her shirt at 6 days and it bled for 6 weeks straight. her little belly button was always just a puddle of blood, i have to use a q-tip and warm water to clean the blood out every day and by the next morning it was just filled up again. So gross and ruined so much clothes.

Its not fully attached but its still on there pretty good. It was fine until the pediatrician moved it arund now it bleeds sometimes. Idk if I should call his Dr or just wait until his one month check up Monday.

It doesn't really stink but it doesn't smell right either. There is an odor but not a really bad one. Idk how to explain it. I called the pediatrician and I'm waiting on a nurse to call me back.

It would smell HORRID if it was infected lol you would know. Is it still moist? Try letting LO be naked (with diaper) and give it some air.

Yeah its a little moist inside where its still attached. I've got him in a shirt and pants right now instead of a onesie or a sleeper so its getting more air. He absolutely HATES being naked lol

Really? Huh... Well it should be fine just taking longer. My lo's was moist until right before it fell off

LO's fell off at 2 weeks old so I'm not much use. Sorry, hun.  

my LO's didn't fall off until almost 2 months   The dr almost sent us to a specialist because of it. but every kid is different. Just watch for signs of infection. all my kids dr's told me to dip a q-tip in rubbing alcohol shake it off and rub it around. It helps it dry up faster thanks the the alcohol.

It fell off this morning finally! It was stuck on there pretty good yesterday so I was surprised when it was gone this mornin. So glad its gone! Lol
