pushing up on hands with straight elbows...

I read this is a milestone DS should have hit by now. He just turned 4 months old. Should I be worried? How old was your LO when he/she started pushing up??

Every child is different and develop at their own pace.

Those "guidelines" are just that, they are based on the average age not the exact age.

My daughter literally just started doing this the past 3 weeks or so and she's 8 months old. She's used to hate being on her tummy until recently so she would just put her face on the floor and scream and not even try to do anything with her arms or anything.

Yeah this is what he does. If he's somewhat calm he manages to lift his chest off the ground by pushing up on his forearms and elbows but that's the farthest he's gotten so far.
