I'm using one bag. There's not really much you need. Especially if you live right near the hospital like I do.

This is what is in mine:

-3 outfits for DS (each one includes socks, hat & scratch mittens....two are NB one 0-3)
-Going home outfit for DS
-Swaddle blanket
-3 pairs of boy short undies for myself. One size up to fit big bulky pads they provide.
-2 nursing tank tops
-2 nursing bras
-3 stretchy sweat pants (just incase blood gets on one)
-Toiletries (all travel sized in my makeup bag)
-Boppy pillow
-My own pillow with a colorful pillow case (so it doesn't get left at hospital)
-Socks for myself
-Camera, charger & the extra camera battery
-iPad & charger (to kill time during my induction)
-Phone & charger
-My own big colored towel (hospital ones are very small)

& obviously the car seat

I have a scheduled induction for midnight next Friday. So I'll also be stopping at the gas station before hand buying a few magazines, snacks and candy to bring with me.
As for DH, we live not even 5 minutes away from the hospital so he can come home to change, shower and take care of the dogs. I'll also be wearing my flip flops so I can use those for my shower shoes when I go to take a shower.

bring some snacks that you like. You will be up throughout the night most likely and will probably be quite hungry. I was always glad I had brought some things to eat.
