Some Wonderful Kids!!

Had to break out the tissues this morning.

My mom is a fourth grade teacher. There is a child in another classroom who is kind of antisocial. He is a little overweight, keeps to himself, reads a lot, and is just kind of awkward.

A few days ago I guess some of the kids asked him why he never played the kickball game when they were on the playground. He always either sat on the swings or just stood around by himself. He just said he didnt really know how to play and they invited him to come and join them any time he wanted.

So yesterday he came up to my mom and said he wanted to play. So mom told him to go and get in the crowd and he would get picked for a team. He was picked really quickly by one of the captains.

So they explained how to play and when he went up to kick he barely knicked the ball. He takes off for first base and another kid grabs the ball and just heaves it way over his head and into the outfield. They continued to goof the ball around until he got a homerun!!

I just had to share this!

Love this!!!! I hope those kiddos get major kudos for that memory will never be forgotten by the little boy!
