First you should never have let him stay anyways he is only 3.5 months old that is WAY to young to leave mom overnight. Second don't worry about the solids too much we had to start my DD on solids at 3.5 months because she was growing so fast I couldn't keep up with her she was nursing nonstop so we started cereal and bananas (which are a severely low allergy food) so don't freak out to much about the possibility of a reaction. Third leave a voicemail saying if she doesn't pick up the phone you will be forced to phone the police she has your infant she needs to answer your calls. And Fourth NEVER let him go there again overnight until he is old enough to be away from his mother over night (I say 1 year old is a safe bet)

I didn't want to leave him but she wouldn't leave me along I caved and wish I hadn't. She just called and told me she 'forgot' to call me! Even though I had reminded her plenty of times last night.. She said she heard her phone ringing but didn't know who was calling so she didn't get up(honestly you have my child anytime you hear the phone ringing when you have someones kid you should automatically think that it might me the mother/father of the child) At least I know he will be home soon and he is okay. The thing about the food though as I stated isn't only the fact she fed it to him w/o asking me is the fact he is my first he has never eaten off the spoon before and he hasn't had solids. I wanted to be the one who fed him first off a spoon with is solids.. But like I said I'm prob being a big baby about it but idc it just sucks to know that she did it not me..

He's too young for solids so just because she did that one time doesn't mean you have to now just to see his reaction. I'm not saying you were going to feed him more solids, I can just imagine your MIL suggesting it. Also, your baby is pretty young to be away from you for that long, especially overnight. I'm sure you know that now, but you have to be strong and stand up for yourself as a mom.

No, I don't plan on feeding him any solids until he is about a year old just like I was planning on doing. Yeah I know I felt awful all night could barely sleep at first I was excited for a break as I haven't been away from him since he has been born no babysitting or anything but it was awful I sat home waiting for him to get home lol! He's not spending the night anywhere else for a LONG time lol! Idk if I could handle it again lol!

That is the problem with inlaws they don't listen to you. My MIL tried to tell me that my daughter needed to be eating solids every 2-3 hours and off the breast all the time when she was just 4 months old and then proceeded to take her and force feed her so much that she was screaming in pain and vomiting. I know your pain. Just don't let him go there again for a long period of time. For overnights 1 year is a safe bet. My daughter will be doing an overnight with my parents when she is 9 months old but that is just because I will be in the hospital with a friend while she gives birth to her daughter. Other then that I have never left her for anything other then work or Drs appointments.
