No. If you had read carefully, I also said I doubted that CPS would get involved even if she DID call.

You are citing CPS as an option and that still makes you a POS. Its because of people like you that CPS gets overloaded and can't get to ACTUAL cases of abuse. CPS is not a way to force other people to parent the way you do.

You're ranting about your cousin's sick baby?   If this is not her first child, she probably knows what she's doing. Like the others say, there are different ways of treating it.

If you're still concerned, here's an idea - suggest to your cousin should take the baby to the doctor in case it's something serious.

I wasn't saying you did. Just giving my opinion on it based on some other poster's advice.

She's been to the doctor. He's had cultures done. Its strep.

Okay so what's the actual problem? You said in the OP she refuses to take him to the doctor. Well she did and now that she knows what the cause is, she's treating him how SHE sees is accordingly.

So, let me make sure I have this straight, before I run off half cocked. Your cousin's son has strep and a double ear infection. She is treating it with silver and other teas and essential oils, which is a pretty standard treatment for infections using homeopathy. You think she's an idiot because she refuses to go to the doctor with her child, that she is in fact treating her way.

Did I get that right? I mean, I've yet to finish my caffeine intake this morning but that looks like what I read.

That's how I understand it except that her cousin actually went to the doctor and instead of giving the baby antibiotics, she's using natural remedies. But OP wants the baby to go to the doctor again.....for some reason....

He's been sick with this for over a week now. I should probably add that too. If it was a cold with fever I wouldn't post this because i wouldn't care then. But its strep and I've seen kids die from it being untreated.

How many kids have you seen die from strep? Because that is not what happens with untreated strep. Untreated strep actually results in rheumatic heart disease. I would like to know though, how many kids you personally have seen die from strep.

It IS being treated. What part of that are you forgetting? You obviously have no idea how homeopathy works, so you really shouldn't be judging it. It can take longer to treat the issue, but it DOES go away. And I've seen strep last over 3 weeks with doctor's treatment.

She is treating the child. That's what you wanted.
The child has seen the doctor. Also what you wanted.

Or do you want her to do like YOU would do, and get some antibiotics and pump her child full of those to treat him?

Well thanks for letting me get this off my chest I guess. I'm just g onna let this topic die out cause I'm sick of talking about it and I've got to get some sleep (which is probably why I'm so annoyed with my cousin right now)
