Quoting PurpleBama582:" After a febrile seizure, the temperature can continue to rise. My son had one febrile seizure at 19 months ... [snip!] ... for different illnesses. @.Colleen. YES, febrile seizures can lead to brain damage which could result in mental retardation. "

Ear infections can be treated in other manners, my pedi and I agree to a treatment of garlic oil for my daughters ear infections. We only treat with antibiotics if the infection gets bad. And fevers in themselves aren't dangerous. Honestly unless she is an abusive parent and you know that, meaning she harms her chidren with intent. I think you should stay out of it, as it is not your business. Fevers themselves are not harmful and are actually very beneficial.
Quoting PurpleBama582:" I'm sorry your cousin's son is sick, and I know you wish there was something you could do, but I don't ... [snip!] ... where the benefits of using antibiotics outweighs my dislike of them. Strep throat is definitely one of those instances. "
Quoting lynnsaymarie:" <blockquote><b>Quoting TantricLemons:</b>" This is from the National Library of Medicine, ... [snip!] ... knees. Febrile seizures happen frequently with his siblings. This child has had 2 so far (that I know of) in the last 6 months."I am not doubting the existence of such fevers. However they do not cause brain damage, they are actually very harmless seizures. A 103 fever is a pretty low non dangerous fever.
Quoting lynnsaymarie:" <blockquote><b>Quoting TantricLemons:</b>" I really hope you are not advocating for ... [snip!] ... down on you."</blockquote> Wow. I said at least 3 times I don't want to get involved. This post is merely a rant..."
