So confused??

I bought a moses basket for the first couple of months of DD life, I also bought a swinging crib for when she's in her own room.Now here's the confusing part.....I purchased separate a cot bumper and some cot sheets, will these fit in?Because obviously the cot is bigger then the swinging crib?Also how long do they stay in a crib for before they have a cot?Do I need to buy different sheets?Don't want to take them out of the packs because im moving soon so they'l get dusty...also ive seen baby pillow cases do they need a pillow?And apart from sheets and blankets what else do they need in there cot?

If the cot is bigger than the swinging crib, then no the sheets and bumper won't fit. You'll have to find sheets specifically for the crib. And if by "cot" you mean what we in America call a crib, then you'll have to check weight limits and suggestions. No, babies do NOT need pillows, especially for the first few months of life, they pose a risk for SIDS. You don't need anything except the sheet, and the blanket the baby is swaddled in. No comforters or any fluffy stuff in the crib, cot, cradle(whatever term you call it).

I'd move the baby out of the crib and into the cot when she starts to move more. For the first 2 months (at least) babies tend to just lay there and squirm. When she starts trying to regularly roll over, it'd be time to move her.

And most cribs have a weight limit of 12-15lbs.

I dont understand the no bumper thing. If we dont have a bumper then dd puts her legs and arms through the rails and ends up almost breaking something I cant count on my fingers how many times ive been woken up to her screaming from being stuck btw the bars.

We have the breathable one. But have used the padded ones before

It's a suffocation risk. The breathable ones are fine.

Also, when the kids are big enough, they can use bumpers to step on and fall out of the crib.
