progesterone shot

this morning my SO gave me the shot and i know your supposed to give it slow but he didn't do it over a minutes time. Do you think it will make a difference in how much medicine is absorbed in my body? TIA

for me even when I do it slow it still pushes out but these shots have kept my cervix closed and been a lifesaver literally
its ok tho if he didnt do it slow tho just this once it just helps it not hurt and go in better without bruising etc. make sure since it wont have had a chance to spread out to just try and move whatever place he put the shot in and rub it so you wont get a knot

I've never been told that mine has to be given over a minute's time. It does go in slower than a plain liquid injection because it's compounded in oil, but dragging it out to go in over one minute? Never done it, and I take shot 6 tomorrow.

okay thanks you guys. I just get worried. and everything I read online says to give it really slow but if it already comes out of the needle slow then I don't think makes a difference Lol

if you have a large needle it goes a bit faster but generally the point of going slow is because it kind of makes this knot and hurts so it has to be rubbed out or does like my shots do and kind of comes back out but its never enough to affect the job of the shot and for me it hurts like hell if I dont push it in slowly since as someone stated its a compound ...hell I wish someone would do the shot for me ....I got too big of needles and it makes it so hard

I don't have large needles(I don't think, anyway) and SO has to hold his finger over the spot and rub in a circle anyway or the oil will start to come back out. We found that out with shot #1.

haha my SO hates giving me needles, lovenox daily and the progesterone once a week. on Google I looked it up and all the people I've read about get smaller gauge needles to replace the bigger ones once they draw the medicine in. Lol I didn't get smaller needless the ones I have are like 18g

mine are 30mm they are huge but the pharm tech wouldnt let me buy multiple sizes it was one way or the other I was pretty pissed

Mine are 22G x 1 (0.7mm x 25mm) so about an inch long.

the length doesent bother me the huge freaking opening does cause with them being so wide its a huge pain breaking skin
