Well then she is a hypocrite. If someone is not allowed to complain about their kid then why should she be allowed to complain about them? What makes one better than the other? Besides I think we established Op wasn't actually complaining about her kid. She was using the term brat loosely and in a loving way to suggest she spoils him occasionally.

I can understand that totally. It would probably tick me off if someone just bitched about their kids all the time as well but the example OP game didn't suggest that.

Then again it annoys me when people act like parenthood is all rainbows and butterflies as well. It makes me feel like I have screwed up as a parent some how if it is so easy for them  .

Which is why i don't post vague smurf. Insecure people take it personally (even if it was about some chick who wore something atrocious in Walmart), then drama starts...I have no time or patience for drama

Woah slow down. I was just explaining the other side. Some people would say that by calling my daughter midget, I am making fun of her for being petite and possibly making her insecure. She is very petite, but that isn't why I call her that. My brother calls all children he loves that. Even his daughter who us 11 years old and 5'4". You just never know if someones dad or grandpa called them brat or squirt or what ever else and they in turn call their child that. I wasn't yelling at you or putting you down in any way. Sorry if you took it that way..

!!! Agree. Sometimes it can be so hard, you are convinced your head will start spinning. I love my kids more than life, and they are my rainbows and butterflies, but they are also my screaming acting a fool little monsters when they are tired, hungry, sick or all of the above. Sometimes parents just need to vent and sometimes it is just a nickname...

I didnt think you were yelling at me or putting me down. As I said, I dont need the justification, I do understand nick names.

As far as acting like our children are burdens though, in any way, no I dont 'get that' or want to.

Definitely agree. Children are never burdens!!! They need to feel loved and confident. I guess the tag was only meant for part of what I was saying. Should have separated it. Lol
