what to expect: babies 2nd shots appt.

LO's apt for his 2nd shot is coming up in about a week. what should I expect? his 1st ones were horrible for me,I just felt so bad and he looked at me like I betrayed him.

Its the same as 2 months.

Nope. Blood work isn't until 12-15 months. 2,4,6 months is all the same.

it sucks   i havent even made her 5 year appt and she turned 5 december 10th lol. i'm scared of how she is going to act.

Not blood work till after a year old (I believe)
My son and daughter both reacted the same to all shots they received 105 temp and sluggish for about 2 days

Anything for a low to.high fever that can.result in seizures, sore injection site or swollen painful spot, sleepiness or lathargic behavior, crying or long term unexplained shrieking, runny nose and cough or the disease you just immunized agaisnt, eczema or severe rash, allergies, acid reflux, loss of appetite or loss of sucking reflex, autism or asbergers, sensory disorders, vomitting or spitting up, sids....these can occur anywhere from immediately to 6 months after the shots. If you are that worried I would do some research. Check great mothers questioning vaccines.

That's not what she asked for and you know it. You just wanted to throw your thought on vaccines into it.

Actually that's exactly what I thought she meant bc she said they were horrible. She said what do I expect. That's what you can.expect. I did mention less severe side effects as well not just the major ones bc not every baby has major effects. She didn't ask what shots or bloodwork would be done. She expressed being worried about them. After posting mobile my response is delayed but nobody had responded when I typed my post. I see others are worried about how children.will "act" as well. When I was worried about vaccines I researched them. I wasn't being bitchy in my response I was just giving her info.


Plus nobody told me what to expect and I.asked. everybody including doctors said babies don't get reactions. I even came on here after to ask what was going on with my baby and nobody knew. Sometimes it helps to know what could happen. All medications can.cause side effects even tylenol.
