Quoting WaitingOnEmily:“ Today I had my 36 week check up and had to have a stress test done.. They had trouble finding a heartbeat ... [snip!] ... are the bad side affects of having too much fluid? They told me I was at an 18.. 23 being the max.. No idea what that means....”Thats not too much fluid. I dont know what they told you. 18 is awesome. Mine was always around 15-25 or so everytime I got an AFI.
Quoting xXLiL MaMaXx:“ hmm never knew it could be too high.. I had the opposite problem.. my fluids were at a4 and anything below a 5 is considered dangerous.. not fun ”I think I was at 4 too with my 2nd. My doctor freaked me out because at my 20 u/s she did a quick scan and rushed me over to the hospital for a more in depth u/s. No one knew what "oligo" was (thats all she wrote on the paper when she sent me over)...I thought my baby had some major deformity or something. Finally I overheard a someone saying it was low fluid. I had to go to a perinatologist until I was 32 weeks ( the nearest of which is an hour away) and I had to have an NST and an u/s done every other week until I had her. Thankfully she's perfectly fine and healhty.

Quoting xXLiL MaMaXx:“ Thats good everything turned out ok.. I went in for an NST at 35 wks and they randomly decided to do ...
