Right on. Just wake up with your newborn. He will sleep through the night when he's ready. No need to harm his stomach, pump him full of empty calories, and risk choking all for a MYTH that you'll for e sleep on a growing babe.

i have to give it to my son because he has severe acid reflux and is going to be seen by a gastro doctor about it soon. but, it does expand their belly more and makes them hungrier! lol. but honestly, if you just put a tbsp, or a teaspoon in there it's not a choking hazard... it doesn't even make it thick, what makes it thick is if you put tons of it in there. my son has never once got choked on rice cereal, but i would talk to your doctor about it(:

yes, i understand that. im not telling her to do it whatsoever. personally, i wouldn't of even gave it to my son if it wouldn't of been for his acid reflux.

Rice does keep them fuller longer but putting it into a bottle with milk is a choking hazard so don't do that. You could just feed him a little before he sleeps, then give him a bottle. I think that's what I did with my daughter..

Again, her kid is just over a month old. Way too young for rice cereal!

Her kid doesn't have reflux. So why did you tell her not to make it too thick and to ask his doctor? The smurf?

Or six. Most doctors don't even suggest using it anymore because it has no nutritional value.

I know it's good for iron and it's fattening.. I liked how the rice made my daughter's poop thicker so it wasn't all over the place when I changed her lol and I would use it to thicken her carrots most of the time because it's soo watery she should almost drink it -__-

Well, hopefully she doesn't listen to you.

Uncalled for? Yes. But at least the rest of us have done our research.
