hemorrhoids

I've hit the last 2 months of pregnancy, in all my rotund, swollen glory  

I have been taking sitz baths with warm water, drinking a ton of water and upped my fiber, and got witch hazel pads, but it still hurts when i sit on the toilet ( which is often thanks to all the damn water). Any way to ease the discomfort? It's almost more comfortable to squat over the toilet to pee  

My vagina is really swollen too, any chance there's a safe anti- inflammatory treatment i can do or take? From what I've seen otc are out.

Tell your OB, I got a massive hemroid from the ECV they did at 37 weeks [omg. It was awful]...they prescribed a suppository, gone by the morning!!! Good luck Mama.

My doc prescribed a steroid specifically for that problem.
Additionally, I used an OTC called Dibucaine. It's near the preparation H.
Also, you can take colace or for generic equivalents to soften your poop.
Both of those helped but things didn't get significantly better until after birth.
Sometimes it was so bad I just had to pee in the shower.
Also, if things arevREALLY bad, there is Lidocaine cream that you can get by RX. I saw a butt surgeon for the lidocaine as I had a more extreme case of roids.

One more thing, I learned that nearly all dairy can make me constipated. Tums don't, but dairy does. So, you might want to look at your dairy intake and limit it to see if that helps.

I haven't been constipated, thankfully. I've had hemorrhoids on and off for a few years ( non painful though) and i think just the pressure aggravated them  

I may ask my doctor for something you or the poster above you recommended. Thank youth both!

They are THE WORST!
I only had occasional constipation.
During my second pregnancy, before I miscarried at about 9 weeks, they started coming back. Crazy!
