Does he have any siblings? I'd approach the argument with the whole fact that he isn't identical to his siblings, even though he has parents with the same genetic pool as they do. lol

Genetically and biologically they would though....
I ole if a DNA test is done on a child and his/her parent is an identical twin, the other twin (not the actual parent) would also come back as being the parent. Pretty sure this has happened before.

He has a sibling but to a different dad. I tried explaining it with our own children, we have two boys and they're not a duplicate of each other and if we have 5 more boys- none of them are going to be the exact same as another one...

But would the DNA test for the kids say they're identical twins or just siblings? That's the debate- basically- are the cousins gonna be considered identical twins/have identical DNA..... Not a DNA test saying the other parent is their parent or that their cousin comes back as a sibling, but identical.

Nope.

I was talking about something else in relation to sibling DNA in that post. Like if a woman has sex with 2 men who are identical twins, she gets pregnant, etc. The possible fathers are the twins, no one else. The child would come back as both men's child.

Identical twins are formed from ONE egg and ONE sperm. Period.

They will not have identical DNA.

Each egg and sperm only carries half of each parent's DNA (half of the mothers and half of the fathers)-- and it's a different set of their DNA each sperm and each egg-- that's why siblings can all look so different. There is a different set of half the genes in each sperm and egg.

One sperm may carry the dominant eye color gene and a small nose gene, the other may carry the recessive eye color gene and a large nose gene. Then another 2 sperm one will carry the dominant eye color and large nose, another will carry the recessive eye and small nose. Now considering the amount of different genes that a parent carries-- this creates and infinite number of different sperm and egg cells.

Therefore the chances of having one person's sperm and another person's sperm be identical is nearly impossible, and then having them find the exact same egg in two different females is nearly impossible.

So, yeah, I'm going with no way they're identical. Technically speaking they may be siblings, but that's... yaknow.

Ask him to look up if two sperm from the SAME person are identical, let alone two different people.  

I have absolutely no idea why he would think they would be identical twins  

Siblings born to the same Mother and Father are not an identical duplicate of each other.

Hell even twins who are from the same Mother and Father, who share a womb but not from the same egg are not a duplicate of each other.

I do not get his logic at all  

Yeah, he's just wrong, period. Like everyone else says...even within the same person, their eggs and sperm all carry a unique combination of genes. The only possible way for two people to be genetically identical is to come from the same egg and sperm. If all of a person's eggs and sperm carried the exact same genes, then his point might be valid, but that's not the case.
