1cm at 35 weeks

hello, i was 35 weeks monday and got the group b test and since i had beenhaving pressure my doctor decided to check and was surprised to find i was dilated to 1cm and my cervix was very soft. this is my third pregnancy first was a c section bc my boy was breech and then with second i had to be induced and wasnt even a fingertip dilated at 40 weeks. i was just wondering if anyone else had exp sureerienced this and how much longer until you went into labor. i havent nototiced loss of plug so im not sure if thats something that i should still be on the look out for or if its gone since ive dilated. any info helps

I was 2cm at my 36 week check up a couple weeks ago. i'm still pregnant. I wouldn't worry too much. You can be dilated for a long long time. I was 4cm for two weeks with my first. Still had to be induced 8 days late

I was 2 cm at 36 weeks & 70% effaced. I had my son at 39 weeks. It doesn't really determine when you will go into labor. But making progress does help a lot through the labor process.

I was 3cm dilated and 70% effaced at 5months and didn't deliver until my due date with number four. I was 4cm by the time I was 32 weeks... It doesn't really mean much.

My OB said you can stay dilated after your first. I've been 1 cm since I was 20-some weeks, I can't remember exactly but I'm still 35 weeks and no sign of baby yet.

Me too. I think my body is crazy. My BH hurt worse than labor and I have them a lot from 5 months on. I'm feeling that familiar pinching in my cervix so I think I may be but no false labors this time so no need to check yet. I may ask my doc to though just to keep track of whats going on in there. It's creepy being that dilated that long for sure! Every contraction is scary.
