Mommies w/ 2 kids

If you have a newborn/infant and a toddler, how do you keep the baby from waking your other kid throughout the night?? This is exhausting! lol
Any tips or tricks?

My 5 year old and nearly 4 year old are never woken up by the baby. Newb slept in my room until he was 9 months old. That kept him from disturbing anyone at night. Now he's in his room with his 5 year old brother, and he wakes once at night. It doesn't ever wake up my older son... Maybe he's just a heavy sleeper? But none of my kids get woken up by baby...

K slept in our room until she slept through the night, and now that they share a room, she wakes M every once in a while, but it's not every night.

He's in our room, she's in hers. He's never woken her up at night.

I never had that problem...

I wasn't worried about the baby waking my daughter. She was and still is a very heavy sleeper and slept through everything. When she was a newb we lived next to a train line an had freight trains zooming past at 4am every night and it never woke her.

We've never had one waking the other.

It they weren't heavy sleepers I'd have been worried about it.

The new baby is in our room in a bassinet atm, and he's only woke up DS1 a couple of times bc our bedroom's are like, right beside eachother. I just find myself trying to scramble to get to the livingroom b4 the baby wakes him up.

DS1 sleeps through ANYTHING. And DS2 generally sleeps with us anyway.

We have always had noise going on, even when my kids were still inside of me. Now they are used to the noise and can sleep through anything. lol
