Toddler fever help!!!

My son is 2 and has a cold,today he has been sleeping a lot,no interest in eating and barely drinking.
I just took his temp under his arm and it was 101.2
Wouldn't his temp be higher than that,like 102.2?
I gave him medicine for the fever already and I'm waiting to see if it goes down before calling the dr.

yeah alternate tylanol and motrin if you have it. toddlers can go a couple days with no food and be ok as long as his fluid out put is ok. maybe bribe him with some popcicles?

poor baby. maybe get him an apointment at his pedi? i hate er's bc they tend to have more germs than what its worth.
