Talk to me about your tubal ligation

I've asked in a few threads that I've seen here and there, but I'm getting more nervous as it gets closer. I go in next week for mine, and I'm such a chicken smurf about the pain. I guess it's easier now, through the belly button and all, but I'm still nervous of how I will feel after.

Tell me your experiences... good and bad.

*watching* I want to get one too eventually, so I like to read people's experiences.

Well I went through the talk and all that... and next week, I'll be able to tell you about mine. lol

How old are you if you don't mind me asking. I'm afraid my doctor is going to say I'm too young because I'm 25.

Totally worth it.

And honestly, it hurt less than having an IUD put in. For real.

The worst part about it is dealing with the grogginess of the anesthesia but if your SO just lets you sleep it off, it's not so bad. Oh and I suggest asking to take home some zofran because the anesthesia can make you super nauseous.

I was 24 when I got mine but I also have 4 kids.  

My Mom got one & she said it wasn't bad. But that was 16 years ago. lol I believe her friend got the same thing around the same time & she's had two pregnancies since then, but the babies didn't make it.

I'm turning 35....   How many kids do you have?

I would check with the state you're in. Some I've heard are like 27 or 2 kids or something like that. I'm so damn old, I dont think they care anymore. lol

I intend on telling my doctor if she doesn't tie my tubes she will be responsible if I get pregnant again and hang myself
