new baby with a older brother that is really close in age!

This is my third child! First girl. My other two are three and a half years apart so it was fairly easy to explain to my oldest about his brother and that I would still love him as much as I do right now! However, my secound boy, Elan is very hands on and demands attention. I have seen him be mean to children yournger than him. He is 18 mths. and gets along fine with children older than him. I have gotten on to him but I am affraid he will be visious to our little newborn when she arrives. Any suggestions on how to turn it around to make him excited about our new arrival/

Get a baby doll for him so when you change the baby he can change his baby. Get him to bring you the diapers and other stuff. Make him feel like he's helping you.

I already gave him his dad's old doll because thats what his mom did, but he just slammed it head on the ground and the through the pour doll in the trash. I retrived it and plainned on trying again when our daughter actually arrives.

You need a baby doll, too.

Carry it around like a newb. Feed it, cloth it, change it, love on it, and play with it...like a little baby.

LO will see you and copy you. By time your LO gets here..he should be used to you having the baby and know how to be gentle.
