having my c section tomorrow!

Due to pre-e and my body going into labor I am having my c section tomorrow! I am so nervous! I have had one c section before so I kind of know what to expect but I have a question.

I go to my dr appt tomorrow at 11 am and dr is sending me to the hospital from there. So what should I eat for breakfast since it will be a while before I can eat. I get nauaeous easily so I dont want anything to heavy but idk what to eat.

Can you even eat in the morning? I couldn't before mine.
It was first thing in the morning though.

Call the office and ask.

U need to ask them when u can eat. I had to stop eating at midnight the day of and no drinks after hrs before. mine was at 1pm.

Are you sure you can eat? Everyone I know couldn't eat when they've had surgery after midnight even if it was later in the day.

I can because my appt will take about two hours. Dr said I could eat a light meal about 8-9 . I just dont know what a light meal consists of.

From my understanding you cant eat for approximately 8 hours before the c-section to avoid acid aspiration during the surgery.

Like don't go out and order the big mans breakfast. Just eat a bowl of cereal and some fruit maybe.

Yeah I think im just gonna have some toast and fruit.

You're not supposed to eat after 12 the night before. My sister had a C-section yesterday, one two years ago, and I had one that were all the same.
