Potty Training....um, help?

DD is only 16 months, but I know that a lot of mommas start early just to help reinforce the potty.

I have NO idea how to even begin to potty train though!

How will I know when she's ready? She rips her diapers off when it's wet, as it is. How do I get her to use a training potty? I'm just so overwhelmed by the thought of all of this!

How old was your DD when you started? What helped you? What helped them? What are some problems I need to watch out for?

I started DD by just putting her on her potty while I was going to the bathroom. It kept her outta stuff and she felt like she was a big girl doing what mommy was doing.

We started at 15 months, naked method. Mostly just so I could learn the times she went pee and poop. She's 16 months now and we have morning pee and after nap pee in the potty. Poop is another story- she's just too young. But when the time comes I think she'll fully PT really quickly.

Oh yeah and we don't do a potty we do a potty seat on the really toliet- much easier for us

my DD will be 20 months old on the 1st of March. She isn't interested in using the potty at all! She does go into the bathroom when I'm going to the bathroom and she will sit on her potty , but as soon as I try to get her to sit naked on the potty she screams and fights me. She tells me when she pees/ poops, but trying to get her on a seat is just impossible!
