Well, that would certainly make me never go back THERE again, but keep your chin up. The preschool my DD goes to is not like that, the people are very nice and she has a great time.

I didn't even know 2 year olds could even go to preschool lol. But that last one sounds way too institutionalized. Hope you have better luck.

I called 18 preschools near me, five I liked.. That was sadly one of them. I really hope I can find somewhere I LOVE. I just want him to get a few hours a week to socialize and be prepared for VPK next year.

Go with your gut. I wouldn't leave my kid in a place like the last one neither-but I'd rat the librarian out on her rudeness.

He will be three by Fall enrollment. But Florida does a free voluntary kindergarten program for four year olds and to guarantee a spot you need to already be enrolled in a school. He will only be going part time, 2 or 3 days a week for 3 or 4 hours in the morning

My mother in law said I need to tell the director what happened, but I feel uncomfortable calling and "tattling" on her. I'd rather at least post a review, had someone else experienced this and said so, I wouldn't have gone any further than the website.

i would have got arrested tooday if someone grabbed my kids like that...

keep looking, and i would write a very strong worded letter and review about that place... i love the school my kids go too we live 40 mins away now since weve moved and i will still make the drive for my lil 1 to attend, my olderst was there from 18 months and graduated kinder now my 2nd is there,

It is a "private" school, I went to a catholic school and they were allowed to practice corporal punishment.. I completely forgot about that going into it. I don't know if that's "normal" to them, but I did not stay home for three years with my son and raise him the way that I did to send him somewhere he gets treated like that. He was so upset leaving he kept asking me if he was a bad boy.my husband said he's so glad he wasn't there.. I was just in shock when it happened, then the anger set in as soon as I got away from the situation.

I would call. Plus from my experience some people don't really know how to work with other peoples kids. It may be appropriate for your own children. I work in a center and in my prek class nobody could just walk in and do what we do. But there's lots of people in the building who see our children during the day. But I can't expect them to have the knowledge and training I do.

went to private schools, my kids go to private schools they are not allowed to touch them like that...

I think it's state law. And most states don't allow it.
