When did you start taking Fenugreek?

I think I may be jumping the gun a little... My milk supply is steady, but I fear it's not growing quickly enough, I guess? I'm 5 days PP and able to get about an ounce per breast every two hours. I'm having to pump most of the time because we're having issues with my daughter latching after having to supplement her when we were in the hospital due to jaundice. I'm still trying to transition her back and we are making SOME progress there, but I'm so scared my supply is going to wane. With my son, I wasn't able to breastfeed much at all. He was in the NICU and my supply just died on me. Will it continue to increase and does this sound like a good amount, or would you recommend Fenugreek?

If she gets back on the breast it'll go up. Plus pumping doesn't give an accurate measure of actual supply. My dr said if I'm pumping 2oz per breast she's probably getting 4.

Gosh I hope we can. Her biggest issue isn't even really latching, it's being patient enough. We're using the slowest nipple we can find, but it's not as slow as my breast still, I guess. The best way I've found to get her to latch is to feed her some from the bottle- enough to get rid of that "desperately hungry" feeling, and then she will be a little more patient. I have an appt with a lactation consultant soon, so hopefully that will help.

I started drinking mother's milk tea and taking fenugreek at 3 weeks. The same time as the first growth spurt.
no pump in the world works like a baby. put her to the breast as often as you can, the less bottles the better. do lots of skin to skin, that helps your milk supply as well.
I can't pump more than 2 oz's a day to save my life. but I know there is milk. I nursed my first till she self weaned at 11 months when I got pregnant again and my DS is 2 months and nursing every 1-2 hours. lol

Scarlytt wants instant gratification too. I have to hand express before she eats.

And why'd they make u supplement? Scar had jaundice and didn't need supplemented. She was supplemented with donor milk for sugar. But was off that even with jaundice. Idk why they always push supplementing for jaundice. It does more harm than good
