What to expect at 1st appt?

I have my first orthopedic appointment on Monday. I'm being seen for my knees which have cracked my entire life and are now causing me a lot of pain. I've also started having finger, elbow, ankle, back, and wrist pain and cracking. What should I expect for my first appointment? What tests can be done?
