When does your period return?
posted 27th Feb
I'm only 3 weeks pp tomorrow, so I know it's still early, but when do you usually get your period back? I am breastfeeding also, but he gets formula as supplement (not sure if that matters).

It can come back before 8 weeks, but sometimes it doesn't come back until 6-9 months for breastfeeding mothers. Sometimes longer.

It's different for everyone. I exclusively breastfed and got my period at 4 months pp. Some women don't get theirs for 12-18 months, or longer!

It's possible to get your period while breastfeeding. A lot of people don't think it is, but it is. However, it may not be until you're done breastfeeding.
I got mine right after I stopped breastfeeding 8 weeks pp.
My sister in law didn't have hers for 9 months because she was breastfeeding but got it while breastfeeding when she was 2 months pp with her first baby.
I guess when mother nature feels like it.
