It is a boys name, it just recently fell out of the top 1000 for boys in 2009. So plenty of boys still have the name Addison. Call it unisex if you want, it is still acceptable for a boy.

I picked Addison James, however like many othe mama's I associate it with a girls name even though it is acceptable as a boy name.

Same as Maddison and Mackenzie. Even if they started masculine they just scream femininity to me.

I had a kid in my class with the name Addison and he was a boy. And nobody ever mistaked him as a girl...
