Can someone please tell me what's happening?

I don't have my OB appointment until tomorrow at 2:45 in the afternoon, but things have gotten very interesting since last night.

For the past couple days, I noticed I have started having contractions, but nothing consistent enough to go in.

This morning, I woke up at 4 needing to go to the bathroom, like normal, but when I sat up I got super dizzy and then when I stood up my whole abdomen hurt so bad I seriously didn't think I was going to be able to walk myself to the bathroom. I made it, but then it was difficult to actually go. Once I stood up again to walk back to bed, it still hurt to walk. From then until I got up this morning for the final time, I've been feeling really hot and really uncomfortable. I've been trying to take deep breaths and even that hurts. Touching my belly, with a little bit of pressure, hurts. Standing up and walking brings on sharp pain. When they start going away, they feel like period cramps.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Do I need to call my doctor?

I forgot to mention that I am 37 weeks and 3 days

That was like the beginning of labor for me.

I agree! Call your dr. When in your mind you KNOW somethimg doesnt feel right.. call. I do quite often actually. I wld rather know its nothing than not call and find out it was something. If that makes sense.
