Wool longies

If you've ever made your own, I need you. I'm looking up tutorials online, and all the patterns want me to just sew the arms of a sweater together. I don't like it :/ I want a flatter crotch, like a soaker (if you know what I mean) instead of a V shaped crotch, so I can sew in a doubler/soaker in the wet zone. Do you think it would look right if I used a soaker pattern, but instead of sewing on leg cuffs I sewed on the sleeves as pants? Does that make any sense?

When I saw stuff I just tend to do my own thing haha. Idk really know what I'm doing   just trial and hopefully no error   haha

I'd do the a sleeve for each leg then Half a sleeve going up around the crotchfrom front to back. Idk if that would work. It's working in my head haha

I made some and they look okay. I'm waiting for Midge to wake up so I can try them on her, then I'll post pictures.

Awesome! I wanna see   so I remember u asking about repurposing the wool sweater but IDR what u had to look for on the tag specifically.

100% wool sweaters work best, but I've heard you can use wool/cashmere/angora blends.

I need pics!!! Most likely I'll knit them myself instead of cutting up a sweater, but I need some reference to figure out the pattern.

I thought about that too but it's more expensive than getting a resale shop sweater.
