posted 27th Feb
SO have you ever encapsulated yours?
I'm seriously condsidering it. From what I read the benifits are great!

Have you done it? Could you tell a difference in your recovery?
TIA

I didn't read up on it until after I had DS, but I definitely want to with my next child!

It's funny, I'm getting excited just reading up on it! Lol
I would *like* to try to do it myself but I also want someone who has done it before to help me. It seems doable just very time consuming.

I did it with our second. With our first I had really bad PPD, didn't bond with our oldest daughter until she was around six months old. With our second daughter I had PPD again, but the placenta pills helped with it a lot, I bonded with her within a few days of her birth. With the placenta pills basically my PPD was more mild, enough that I could control my emotions.

I also did the pills myself so I didn't have to pay a fee.

I might PM you for more info/tips, if that's OK?

Feel free to PM me. It was pretty easy. You just steam the placenta, cut, dehydrate (in oven or dehydrator) then grind up and put into the capsules.

I heard that putting it in smoothies is the easier way. I'm going to do more research and see what I should do.

My husband did mine. It was very simple, but very tedious and time consuming.
I also had some raw in a smoothie.

I noticed quite a difference between this time around and my first.

I'm excited about it!
How much did you set aside for the smoothie?

A few small chunks. Most went to caspsules.
I had the smoothies while I was still in the hospital since I had some hemorrhaging issues.

We did it in orange mango juice with peaches and raspberries. I couldn't taste it at all!
