how much longer can I stay at 3cm 80% effaced? its been fore

Ive been 3 cm , 80 percent effaced for a over a week and a half, 38 weeks, and im so anxious, I get constant Braxton hicks, this is my 3rd baby, my other two were once I dialated I dialated and that was it..one born at 36 wks and the other at 38 wks, both perfectly healthy, first one 7lbs 6 oz, and the other 6 lbs 12 oz,ive been for like 2 hr walks 3 days in a row, had plenty of sex, warm bath, I give up lol im just gonna sit here and wait now. But im scared this pregnancy is sooo differnt from the rest, what if theres something wrong what if I cant dialate anymore, I know I shud be really worrying when im 40+ weekz but im concerned cause I know my body so well, I feel like she wants out but cant get out lol, maybe im just anxious, is there cases will youre body just wont dilate??? Ud think it would make a small differnce seeing how I just gave birth 15 months ago.

I've heard of women staying at less than 5 cm for weeks. Sorry, lol. But at least being displayed isn't painful. Think of it this way--If your dr hadn't checked you, you wouldn't even know that you were dilated. I know the BH suck but that's a good sign your body is preparing. I think everything will be okay and it's just shocking how different this labor is from your other two. Good luck!!

I was at 3cm for 4 weeks before I had DS. Chances are you will dilate just fine. Lol

I was a 3 and 75% until I was induced at 39 weeks. Started at 36 or 37 and I had tons of cramps and contractions. Frustrating but just keep hoping for progress and baby will be ready soon

Ahhh lol , ive been to hospital like 5 times in 8 days lol, I guess I should wait my ass off lol n stop wasting gas money on this back n forth thing lol thanks guys, I think this little ones a tricky baby, she likes to tease her mommy.

This. Heck, I've even seen a woman walk around at 5 cm for 3 weeks before going into labor.
This is just another example of why doctors shouldn't check for dilation until you are in labor. If you hadn't been checked, you most likely wouldn't be stressing so much.  

I was like that for about 4 days. You can stay like that for months.

Sooo true they shud stop checking women until theyre like 40 weeks or something, they shouldnt of told me lol, I wouldnt be so insecure about popping a baby out randomly at home.

For future reference, you can refuse to be checked.

I think I going to, im soo gullable "hi kayla were gonna check you" im like sure lol, I need to stand my ground, it can be very dissapointing for the fact when u dont see progress, I turned I to a paranoid irritated freak for it, now im at the point where my kids stay at my brothers house for a day or two b.c im scared im just gonna pop into labour. It sucks , I hate not having my kids, I sent them to his house b.c I cant keep travelling to the school n back all day.I dont even have cell incase something happens so I didnt want my son missing anymore school so I made sure he went with someone who can still bring him to and from, all b.c im paranoid.
