Amber teething necklaces?

My son has been wearing his nonstop for around half his life now, but the other day I saw someone talking about a child choking to death because he had it on in his sleep and this woman was advising people to take their children's ones off at night...what do you ladies think? My son has never had an issue...

We take it off his neck at night and put it around his ankle. I'm just too paranoid about it since I'm not awake too ya know?
ETA: on every website I've looked on they've all said not to let them wear it unsupervised.

They really shouldn't wear them unsupervised. I've read about wrapping them around an ankle for overnights.
ETA: when I did that I would put a sock on over it to keep it in place.

I wanted to get one for DD but I'm afraid she'll like try to swallow it or something It seems like it would be a choking hazard

Bellas worn hers since about 3/4 months and never had an issue. As a newbie I would've taken it off at night and put it round the ankle but by the time we got it she was a bit older
If you get a good quality one it shouldn't belong enough to strangle

When my daughter was under 4 months I took it off and put it on her ankle but she kept loosing it so I have never took it off since its even on in the bath as the ther mum said if its good quality it won't break ect I'm 100% not worried about mine at all it's pretty loose on my daughter but not loose enough for her to pull at it ect! But your baby your choice if it makes you feel uncomfortable then put it on their ankle at night

The one I have is quality, it even came with a certificate of authenticity...things that I hear still freak me out when it comes to him I guess.
